HAIR EXTENSION CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The Following hair care guide will help keep your hair extensions silky, shiny, & natural looking, as well as your own hair. In addition, these hair care tips will help to preserve the life of your extensions.
* Wash hair with clarifying shampoo PRIOR to hair extensions being applied.
* It is recommended to use a clarifying shampoo, Bi-Weekly, to remove build up on hair
caused by styling products.
* Make sure you wash your hair in a downward motion to prevent unnecessary
tangling.
* Wash in between the extensions to keep your scalp clean and prevent irritation.
* Do Not wash hair for 24-48 hours after hair extensions are applied.
* Always brush out all knots before you wash your hair.
* Brush or comb your hair starting from the bottom and work your way up.
* Condition and moisturize your hair so that your hair extensions don’t become dry and
brittle.
* Choose a shampoo and conditioner that is made for dry hair.
* Run your fingers between the hair extension attachments daily to prevent the
extensions from tangling and potentially matting together.
* Before going to bed, hair MUST be dry. Pony tail all your hair to prevent tangling.
* DO NOT perm, color, or use any other chemical process to hair extensions.
Proper maintenance is crucial to prevent damage to your own hair. We loose approximately 80 – 120 hairs a day. You can expect to see tiny amounts of naturally released hair trapped in the attachment after wearing hair extensions for some time. This is normal and should not be interpreted as hairs pulled out of the scalp by the extensions themselves.
